Seven (07) people have been injured in a sword attack reported in the Selvapuram area in Kopay, Jaffna last night.
The Police said a group of armed men who had arrived on motorcycles had attacked another group in the Selvapuram area and had also damaged a few vehicles at the scene.
The attack is suspected to have taken place over a personal dispute, while the injured individuals have been admitted to the Jaffna Hospital.
The Police said a car and a three-wheeler have been damaged in the attack, while the attackers are said to have fled the area following the incident.
The Kopay Police has launched investigations into the sword attack. (NewsWire)
