The written examination to obtain a drivers’ licence will be held under the purview of the Department of Examinations from next year.
According to News First, a spokesman for the Department of Motor Traffic said a request has been made from the Department of Examinations in this regard.
The request has been made taking into consideration the large number of candidates applying for licences soon after sitting for the GCE Advanced Level Examination.
The spokesman said as per the proposal, applicants will be given the opportunity to sit for the written examination to obtain a drivers’ licence in their area of residence. (NewsWire)
