Former SL badminton player Oshadie Kuruppu passed away at 27

Former Sri Lanka badminton player Oshadie Kuruppu has passed away at the age of 27.

Oshadhi was diagnosed with leukemia back in 2020 and passed away on Tuesday (08) after battling cancer for two years.

An old girl of Visakha College Colombo, Oshadhi excelled in badminton from an early age and was able to compete at international level in 2015.

She represented the Sri Lanka Badminton Squad at the 2016 South Asian Games and won the silver medal for Sri Lanka in the women’s team event.

In addition to that, Oshadhi also represented the country at the 2016 Asian Badminton Championships and the Summer Universiade in 2017. (NewsWire)
