The Parliament has announced the appointment of Chairmen to six Parliament Committees.
The Committees are the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE), Committee on Public Accounts (COPA), Committee on Public Petitions, Committee on Public Finance, Committee on Parliamentary Business, and Committee of Selection.
Parliamentarian Prof. Charitha Herath has been re-appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Enterprises (COPE).
MP Tissa Vitharana has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Accounts (COPA).
Parliamentarian Jagath Pushpakumara has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Petitions.
MP Anura Priyadhsrahana Yapa has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Public Finance.
Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena has been appointed as the Chairman of the Committee on Parliamentary Business and the Committee of Selection. (NewsWire)
