Sri Lanka is to pursue assistance from the World Bank for several development projects.

According to sources, proposals for Rural Development, Renewable Energy, and Digitalization projects that have already been presented are under consideration.

The proposals for various development projects have been presented for around US$ 1 billion.

The sources further said Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa will meet with officials from the World Bank during his visit to the US in April.

Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa is primarily set to meet with officials from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) during his visit to Washington DC next month.
