List of MPs who withdrew from Govt

Several ruling party Parliamentarians today announced their decisions to function independently in Parliament from today. 

Addressing the Parliament, MPs from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP), Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC), All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC), and the 11 constituent parties of the Government have decided to function independently. 

Following is the list of Parliamentarians who will function independently in the Parliament of Sri Lanka from today:

09 MPs from the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP):

Nimal Lanza, Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, WDJ Seneviratne, Susil Premajayantha, Chandima Weerakodi, Nalin Fernando, Sudharshani Fernandopulle, Piyankara Jayarathne, and Jayarathne Herath.

16 MPs from the eleven constituent parties of the Government:

Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Vasudeva Nanayakkara, Tissa Vitharana, Tiran Alles, Ven. Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Gevindu Kumarathunga, Weerasumana Weerasinghe, Asanka Nawaratne, Mohommed Mussamil, Nimal Piyathissa, Gamini Waleboda, ALM Athaulla, Gayashan Nawananda, Jayantha Samaraweera, and Udhdhika Premaratne. 

14 MPs from the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP):

Maithripala Sirisena, Nimal Siripala de Silva, Mahinda Amaraweera, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Duminda Dissanayake, Lasantha Alagiyawanna, Ranjith Siyambalapitiya, Jagath Pushpakumara, Shan Wijeyalal de Silva, Shantha Bandara, Dushmantha mithrapala, Suren Ragawan, Angajan Ramanathan, and Chamara Sampath. 

2 MPs from the Ceylon Workers’ Congress (CWC):

Jeevan Thondaman and M. Rameshwaran.

1 MP from the All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC):
