British currency printer De La Rue has issued short statement on Twitter after many Sri Lankan social users had requested them information about three SriLankan Airlines flights that took printed money from Sri Lanka to Uganda.

Sri Lankan Airlines confirmed that Cargo flights left to Uganda in February 2021 with Ugandan currency notes from a global security printer who operates several factories worldwide, including one in Sri Lanka, exporting to global markets.
