A decision is yet to be taken on the proposed tariff revisions by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB), Minister of Power Kanchana Wijesekera said today.
Minister Wijesekera said that the request by the CEB has been approved by the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).
Stating that the approval of the PUCSL is not the first time, he pointed out that the request for tariff revisions has been made multiple times since 2015.
The Minister revealed that the Cabinet of Ministers has the authority to implement it, revise it, or reject the proposal.
Minister Kanchana Wijesekera clarified that no decision has been taken as yet on the request to revise electricity tariffs. (NewsWire)
