Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has decided to purchase lands in several districts in order to build District cricket grounds under the ‘National Pathway’ program.
In a tender notice published today, SLC is looking for lands in Colombo, Gampaha Kalutara, Galle, Matara, Kandy, Ampara, Kegalle, Nuwara Eliya, Matale, Kurunegala, Puttalam, Trincomalee and Vavuniya districts for the purpose of building these cricket grounds.
SLC says that it plans to build these new district cricket grounds with the intention to provide equal opportunity to every talented Sri Lankan cricketer to represent the national team. (NewsWire)
