A group of representatives of the ‘Go Home Gota’ protest campaign that is spread across the country met the Chief Prelates of the Malwathu and Asgiri Chapters in Kandy today.
The representatives requested the Chief Prelates to issue a Sangha Convention edict against the Rajapaksa government.
The group also called on the Chief Prelates to withdraw the honorary titles given to members of the Rajapaksa family.
The Chief Prelates were also requested not to attend any religious functions hosted by or linked to the Rajapaksa family. (NewsWire)
