Opposition MP Kumara Welgama who was attacked by a group of the angry public during the unrest in Sri Lanka yesterday is not in a critical condition, his brother Nalin Welgama revealed.
In a social media post, Nalin Welgama said his brother is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) due to safety concerns and is otherwise well.
“No fractures. Just cuts & bruises. Wish him a speedy recovery,” he added in a Twitter message.
Nalin Welgama also said, “We hold no hatred on the angry mobs. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time!.”
