Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) leader Sajith Premada is willing to take over as Prime Minister of a new government if President Gotabaya Rajapaksa steps down, opposition MP Lakshman Kiriella said today.
Addressing a special media briefing, MP Lakshman Kiriella said that MP Sajith Premadasa will take over as the Prime Minister if President Gotabaya Rajapaksa steps down.
He further said that the No-Confidence Motion (NCM) that was submitted against the President has been included in the Parliament’s agenda.
MP Lakshman Kiriella added that the NCM that was submitted against the President will be able to be taken up for debate by next week. (NewsWire)
