Journalists attached to a private television channel in Sri Lanka have been attacked by the Police while covering ongoing protests in the country.
The Police had attacked the journalists near Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe’s private residence in Colombo 07.
A large group of Police Special task Force (STF) officers surrounded and attacked the journalists with batons despite knowing that they are media personnel and pleading not to be attacked.
According to reports, four journalists were attacked in the incident and have been hospitalized. (NewsWire)
