Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Roshan Ranasinghe has held a discussion with a group of former sports ministers’ on the upliftment of the local sports sector in Sri Lanka.
Sports Ministry said that the meeting was held yesterday (14) to discuss ideas and suggestions provided by former Sports Ministers in this regard.
Former Sports Ministers Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Gamini Lokage, Lakshman Kiriella, Jeewan Kumaranathunga, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Naveen Dissanayake, Faizer Mustapa, Harin Fernando and President of National Sports Council Arjuna Ranathunga had participated in the meeting.
Notable absentees at the meeting was former Sports Minister Namal Rajapaksa. (NewsWire)
