A complaint has been filed at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) on allegations of financial fraud pertaining to the Israel caregivers program, Minister of Foreign Employment and Labour Manusha Nanayakkara said.
He said that the complaint was filed by officials of the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE).
Issuing a statement, the minister said several complaints had been received about individuals collecting money under the guise of assisting to obtain jobs under the Israel caregivers program.
Minister Nanayakkara warned that legal action will be taken against those found to be involved in the scam.
He called on the affected parties to file a complaint in this regard, adding that he will provide his unconditional support to catch the real culprits behind the scam and bring them before the law. (NewsWire)
