President Ranil Wickremesinghe who engaged in a short visit to the United Kingdom returned to Sri Lanka early this morning.
The President left for the UK last weekend to attend the funeral of the UK’s longest-serving monarch Queen Elizabeth II, which was held on Monday.
During his visit, President Ranil Wickremesinghe engaged in cordial talks with King Charles III at an event held at Buckingham Palace.
He also met the Sri Lankan Diaspora in Britain. Many Sri Lankan businessmen, investors, and professionals living in Britain attended the meeting organized by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Britain.
The President, who was accompanied by First Lady Maithri Wickremesinghe and Presidential Advisor Ruwan Wijewardena, returned to Sri Lanka today. (NewsWire)
