Three students of the Peradeniya University have been arrested in connection to the clash reported at the university’s canteen last week (14).
The Peradeniya Police had conducted investigations into the assault of a group of law undergraduates by a group of students from the Arts Faculty of the university.
The Police said the students were arrested after they had surrendered to the Peradeniya Police today.
The arrested students who are 4th-year students of the Arts Faculty, are aged 24 years and are residents of Thaleliya, Ambalangoda, and Thunmodara.
The suspects have been released on Police bail after recording statements on the incident. (NewsWire)
