A 34-year-old woman has been killed in the Boralesgamuwa area last night (23) after being attacked with a sharp object, the police said.
The woman has succumbed to her injuries after admitting to the Kalubowila hospital. Police further said that the said woman’s husband also sustained injuries in the attack.
The couple had been attacked by two persons who arrived in a motorcycle while they were waiting near the Borupana bridge on their motorcycle.
Following the attack, area residents have managed to capture one of the suspects who was traveling on the passenger side of the motorcycle.
The captured suspect and the husband of the victim are currently receiving treatment at the Kalubowila hospital. Boralesgamuwa police are conducting further investigations. (NewsWire)
