The overall inflation as recorded by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) on a Year-on-Year basis has increased to 69.8% in September 2022.
The Department of Census and Statistics reported that inflation for September has increased from the 64.3% reported in August 2022.
The department added that it is an increase of 8.9 index points, while the CCPI for all items for the month of September 2022 was 244.7.
