The US Embassy in a statement today (12) said that error messages received by applicants for the US Diversity Visa Program for 2024, were due to a global demand to register.
The Embassy said that the error messages have been received while accessing dvprogram.state.gov to apply for Green Cards.
“The errors are due to the global demand to register. Please be patient and continue trying,” the US Embassy in Colombo added.
The US Diversity Visa Program for 2024 opened for applications on the 05th of October 2022.
The US State Department said applications for the Diversity Visa Program 2024 will be accepted until 10.30 pm on 08th November 2022.
The US State Department added that it will not allow paper entries for the Diversity Visa Program 2024 and will only accept applications via its website https://dvprogram.state.gov
Each year, the Diversity Visa program allows more than 50,000 randomly selected people, only from countries that don’t send many immigrants to the United States, to obtain permanent residency. (NewsWire)
