Sri Lankan fast bowlers Dushmantha Chameera and Pramod Madushan have both suffered injuries during today’s clash against UAE
Chameera’s injury is more serious which could threaten his participation in the tournament.
“He will undergo a scan tomorrow morning to ascertain his injury, it’s not looking good, he might miss the rest of the tournament” Senior SLC official told NewsWire.
Meanwhile, Fast bowler Pramod Madushan and Batsman Danishka Gunthilaka have also complained of hamstring issues. Both these players will also be subjected to a medical assessment tomorrow.
“There injuries are not that serious but we will asses the situation tomorrow” Senior SLC official added.
Fast bowler Binura Fernando who replaced injured Dilshan Madushanka has now joined the Sri Lanka squad.
Lahiru Kumara and Binura Fernando are now in line to play the all important clash against Netherlands on Thursday. (NewsWire)
