The 2019 Easter attacks were carried out in order for Gotabaya Rajapaksa to be elected as President, former Sri Lanka President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga (CBK) alleged today.
Speaking to the media, she said some are calling for former President Maithripala Sirisena to take responsibility for the attacks as well.
Stating that she believes in the allegations, CBK said that the court will decide on the matter soon.
She further accused the Rajapaksa clan of attempting to hijack the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) for political gain. (NewsWire)
