The Police have sought the assistance of the public to apprehend a man who had allegedly abducted a 13-year-old girl from her legal guardian in the Devalahidha, Ampara area in Inginiyagala.
According to the Police, as per a complaint filed by the child’s mother, the incident had taken place on Tuesday, 22nd November 2022.
The Inginiyagala Police has presented facts to the Ampara Magistrate’s Court in this regard.
The Police said information has come to light that the 47-year-old suspect had abducted the child and is currently in hiding.
