A 1 ½-year-old toddler has been hospitalized with serious injuries after being thrown from the 3rd floor of a building in Grandpass.
The Police Media Unit confirmed to NewsWire, that the child had been thrown by an individual from a building in the Samagipura area in Grandpass today.
The Police further said that the suspect has been arrested and is suspected to be a relative of the child.
They added that the injured toddler has been admitted to the National Hospital in Colombo.
The Police are conducting further investigations into the incident.
Meanwhile, Lankadeepa has reported that the child has succumbed to his injuries. (NewsWire)
