The Department of Meteorology says there is a high possibility for thundershowers in the afternoon over the island from today.
The department further said that a few showers will occur in the Northern and Eastern provinces.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the Sabaragamuwa province and in the Galle and Matara districts during the afternoon or night.
Misty conditions can be expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and Uva provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts during the morning.
Meanwhile, in the sea areas, showers may occur at a few places in the sea areas over the island during the evening or night.
Winds will be north-easterly or variable in direction and wind speed will be (20-30) kmph. The sea areas around the island will be slight. (NewsWire)
