A 30-year-old motorcyclist has been arrested for having slapped a Police officer in Achuveli.
The motorcyclist had tried to go past a road checkpoint manned by the Police and Army without wearing a helmet.
The Police officer is reported to have stopped and advised the motorcyclist about road violations and the dangers of driving without a helmet.
The suspect had thereafter, slapped the Police officer and attempted to flee, but had been apprehended with the help of the Army personnel. (NewsWire)
