The overall rate of inflation as measured by the Colombo Consumer Price Index (CCPI) dropped to 54.2% in January 2023, the Department of Census and Statistics reported.
According to the department, the CCPI has dropped in comparison to the 57.2% reported in December 2022.
Food inflation has also decreased to 60.1% in January 2023 from the 64.4% reported in December 2022.
