Over 100,000 tourist arrivals have been recorded for January 2023, the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) reported.
The SLTDA stated that 102,545 foreign tourists arrived in Sri Lanka between the 1st to 31st of January 2023.
This is an increase of 20,218 tourists in comparison to the 82,327 tourist arrivals that were reported in January 2022, it added.
The highest number of tourists, 25,254 arrived from Russia, 13,759 arrived from India, and 8,483 arrived from the United Kingdom during this period.
Germany, France, Canada, Australia, the United States, Maldives, and Israel are the remaining source markets for January.
