The Ahangama Police have taken legal action against nine foreigners who were riding motorcycles without valid driving licenses.

These individuals, who had arrived on tourist visas, were examined yesterday in front of the Ahangama Police.

The group of foreigners is scheduled to be produced before the Galle Magistrate’s Court today for further legal proceedings. (Newswire)

Police have sought public assistance in apprehending two suspects in connection with the murder of two individuals in Ahangama.

The Galle Division Crimes Investigations Unit has launched a probe into the incident to arrest the suspects who had fled the area.

The two suspects aged 46 and 41 are reported to be residents of Magolla and Unawatuna.

President Ranil Wickremesinghe today undertook an observation tour of several hotels located in the Koggala and Ahangama areas this morning (31).

The President had toured the areas as an uninformed visit and had held several discussions with the hotel owners.
