The Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited  (AASL) recorded a total revenue of Rs. 27,647 million and a net profit after tax of Rs. 4,803 million, according to the company’s annual report for the year 2022.

According to a statement by the AASL, the company also contributed Rs. 1,983 million to the government of Sri Lanka in the financial year 2022. 

AASL, which is a fully government-owned company with statutory powers to manage and develop civil international airports in Sri Lanka, released its annual report for the year 2022 on May 30, 2023.

It is the appointed agent of the Government of Sri Lanka to discharge its duties in the capacity of a member of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

AASL was able to publish the Annual Report 2022 in all three languages on May 31, 2023, as per the guidelines of the Good Corporate Governance Act. 

The AASL further stated that as a result of the dedication of the management team at AASL, the company was able to publish the report prior to the deadlines.

AASL manages and operates Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport (MRIA), Colombo International Airport Ratmalana (CIAR), Batticaloa Airport (BTA), and Jaffna International Airport (JIA).

The Annual Report of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) 2022 was presented to the Minister of Financial, President Ranil Wickremesinghe today (27).

The report was presented by the Governor of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Dr. Nandalal Weerasinghe to the President, at the Finance Ministry.

According to the President’s Media Division (PMD), presented as the 73rd Annual Report of the CBSL, this report consists of four main parts.

Accordingly, the first part consists of 08 chapters and 30 sub-chapters explaining the state of the economic affairs of the year, while the second part consists of a collection of gazettes and circulars related to various policy measures taken by the Government and the CBSL. The third part of this report explains the departments of the CBSL and their related roles and the fourth part includes a list of laws and ordinances related to the banking system connected to the Government and the CBSL.

In accordance with Section 35 of the Monetary Law Act, the Monetary Board of the CBSL is required to produce an annual report on the economic conditions and the policies taken for that year and submit it to the Minister of Finance within four months after the end of the relevant year.
