A minor tremor with a magnitude of 2.4 on the Richter Scale has been reported in Buththala in the Monaragala District.

According to the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau, the tremor was felt 154 km from Colombo.

The Bureau further stated that the minor tremor was recorded at 11. 20 pm on Monday (Sep 25). 

The minor tremor was recorded on all four seismic stations in the country, the Bureau added. (NewsWire)
