The Ministry of Tourism has prepared several programmes to be launched in view of the upcoming Christmas festive season in Sri Lanka, Minister of Tourism Harin Fernando announced.

Issuing a statement, Minister Fernando said the lighting up of the Christmas Decorations at the Galle Face Green and other key areas was held yesterday, as part of the programmes lined up for the festive season.

Several Christmas-related decorations, including a large Christmas tree, were among those that had been decorated with colourful lights at the Galle Face Green in Colombo.

The event was launched in the presence of many guests, to attract both local and foreign tourists during the festive season. (NewsWire)
