The US Embassy in Sri Lanka has announced the commencement of the selection of applicants for the Diversity Visa (DV) Program for the year 2025.

Taking to ‘X’, the US Embassy said applicants will be able to check the status of their applications from 12.00 pm, EDT, on May 04, 2024. 

The US Embassy further said that applicants can check the status of their entry by entering their confirmation number at http://dvprogram.state.gov/ESC/. 

“This is the ONLY way to check if you have been selected to participate,” the Embassy added. 

Each year, the Diversity Visa program allows more than 50,000 randomly selected people, only from countries that don’t send many immigrants to the United States, to obtain permanent residency. (Newswire)
