The shortest living water buffalo in the world has been found in Malawadi, Maharashtra, India. 

The beautiful three-year-old bovine, born on the farm of Trimbak Borate (India), has been registered in Guinness World Records.

Radha stands at just 2 ft 8 in (83.8 cm) tall, just a few inches taller than the shortest woman living, Jyoti Amge (India), at 2 ft 0.7 in (62.8 cm). 

Radha is almost four feet (1.2 m) smaller than the world’s tallest living water buffalo, King Kong (Thailand), who measures a whopping 6 ft 0.8 in (185 cm). (Newswire)

A Michigander has grown the globe’s longest beard on a woman after ditching her routine of shaving three times a day, according to Guinness World Records.

Erin Honeycutt, 38, from Michigan, USA, has been growing her beard for around two years.

It now measures 30 cm (11.81 in), officially breaking the world record for the longest beard on a living female.

The previous record of 25.5 cm (10.04 in) belonged to 75-year-old Vivian Wheeler (USA). 

Erin’s beard is completely natural; she doesn’t take any hormones or supplements.

She has polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), which is a condition that causes hormonal imbalance and can result in irregular menstruation, weight gain, infertility, and excess hair growth.

Erin’s facial hair began growing when she was 13. She used a variety of methods to deal with it, such as shaving, waxing, and using hair-removal products, however, she was constantly self-conscious about it.

“I was probably shaving at least three times a day,” she revealed.

Erin continued doing this throughout her teen years and into her adult life, however, after partially losing her vision, she became “tired of shaving”, so her wife, Jen, encouraged her to grow out her beard.

PCOS is not the only health issue that Erin has had to battle. In 2018, she injured her foot and was taken to the hospital, where, within the span of a week, she developed necrotizing fasciitis in her leg, which is a rare bacterial infection that results in the death of parts of the body’s soft tissue.

Erin’s leg became septic and gangrene, resulting in her making the decision to have the lower half of the limb amputated.

She told her doctor that she would “deal with it” and move on with her life, which she’s been courageously doing for the past five years. (NewsWire)

Indian actor, entertainer and all-round superstar Akshay Kumar has smashed the record of most selfies taken in three minutes, snapping 184 in total.

The previous record of 168 belonged to James Smith (UK), and past holders include Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, singer Donnie Wahlberg (both USA), and ex-footballer Alan Shearer (UK).

Akshay’s successful record attempt took place at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai, where over 240 fans gathered for the chance to break a world record with their idol.

“It was an excited crowd for sure,” said GWR Official Adjudicator Swapnil Dangarikar.

Sporting a bright orange jumpsuit, Akshay, 55, stood in between the two lines his fans had formed, ready to snap as many selfies as possible.

One-by-one, Akshay’s fans approached from alternating sides, quickly moving into frame before ducking back out.

Akshay took 209 photos during the three minutes, however, some were disqualified due to blurred faces.

As per the record’s rules, all selfies must be in focus and sufficiently bright enough so that the person appearing in the picture can be recognised and identified as a unique participant.

Despite the 25 discounted selfies, Akshay was easily able to break the record due to his smart strategy. He managed to take 79 more than The Rock did!

Speaking to Adjudicator Swapnil afterwards, Akshay said he would like to have a go at breaking some fitness records in the future.

He’s particularly keen on achieving a push-up record, but he’s also up for something a bit more extreme, like hanging from a helicopter.

“Everything I have achieved and where I am in life is due to the unconditional love of my fans,” Akshay posted on his Instagram after the attempt.

“This is my special tribute to them, acknowledging how they have stood by me throughout my career.”

Akshay attempted this record to promote his upcoming film Selfiee, which hits cinemas on 24 February.

Directed by Raj Mehta, Selfiee is a Hindi-language remake of the Malayalam comedy-drama Driving Licence (2019).

The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Diana Penty, and Nushrratt Bharuccha in lead roles.
