Hundreds of people demonstrated outside Israel’s embassy in Bangkok on Thursday to demand foreigners show more respect for Thailand’s laws and culture as public discontent over bad behavior by visitors has increasingly focused on Israeli tourists.

“The era of gentle diplomatic pleasantries and calculated silence, which has been misinterpreted as tacit consent, has come to an end,” protest leader Sondhi Limthongkul, a media mogul and political activist, told the crowd while reading from an open letter to Israel’s ambassador to Thailand, Alona Fisher-Kamm.

Recent incidents drawing public scrutiny in Thailand have involved tourists of several nationalities, but one of the highest profile cases was of an Israeli tourist who was convicted of threatening a zoo owner and then deported.

Fisher-Kamm met Tuesday with Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow to address concerns and discuss possible solutions.

Sondhi said the embassy and Israeli government should understand “generosity must never be mistaken for weakness, hospitality does not equate to submission to exploitation and courtesy is not an open license for anyone to act with impunity on our sovereign soil.”

In a video message posted to Facebook on Thursday following the morning protest, Israeli embassy Deputy Chief of Mission Rami Teplitskiy said they are not ignoring news and negative sentiments about Israeli tourists in Thailand.

“The embassy will continue to work hard to foster sustainable friendship and ensure everyone enjoys Thailand with mutual respect,” he said in a message delivered in Hebrew with English and Thai subtitles.

The relevant agencies in both countries are working to resolve the issues together and Israeli visitors to Thailand will receive official travel guidance asking them to respect Thai laws and culture, Teplitskiy said.

Protesters call for respect of Thai culture and laws

Sondhi, who founded a protest movement that led to the 2006 ouster of former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, voiced a litany of complaints against Israelis in Thailand, including violations of domestic laws, creating public disturbances and showing disrespect for local traditions and cultures.

Thailand’s economy is heavily dependent on tourism, but also has implemented new measures to ensure visitors respect the country’s norms. The government also has cracked down on foreigners who overstay visas or seek to circumvent property-ownership regulations, while also shortening visa-free stays.

Israeli visitors last year generated about $1.2 billion of Thailand’s $48 billion in income derived from tourism. More than 277,000 Israelis visited Thailand in the first eight months of 2026, up about 7% over the same period last year, according to Thailand’s Ministry of Tourism and Sports.

While there has been a focus on Israelis, a confrontation in July between a Thai woman and a group of boisterous Italian students on a Bangkok train was caught on video and went viral, sparking widespread anger against the visitors. The Italian embassy intervened and posted an apology video from the group.

Israeli ambassador proposes guidance for Thailand visitors

The Jerusalem Post reported that Fisher-Kamm, the Israeli ambassador, acknowledged the concerns during the meeting with Sihasak and proposed issuing a “do’s and don’ts” document for Israeli travelers, which was a demand by protesters on Thursday.

The Thai foreign minister said after the meeting that Thailand felt it could not “stand idly by” if visitors are acting detrimentally toward the country or people.

“Thailand is a country that welcomes tourists, but at the same time, our hospitality doesn’t mean that tourists, regardless of their nationality, can do whatever they want in Thailand,” Sihasak told reporters in Bangkok.

The Israeli embassy told The Associated Press on Wednesday it takes the concerns seriously and has provided practical guidance about Thailand to Israeli communities, adding that those who violate the laws should face appropriate consequences.

Public attention, however, may be disproportionate to the scale of incidents involving Israeli citizens and should not be taken as a representation of all Israelis in Thailand, the embassy said.

Chabad of Thailand, the country’s branch of an Orthodox Jewish movement that was mentioned by name in the open letter by protesters, said it had no immediate comment on the demonstration or the letter. (AP)

Israel has notified the British consulate in occupied East Jerusalem that it must close within 30 days, Israeli public broadcaster KAN reported Wednesday.

The move came shortly after British Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband announced a ban on imports from Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, along with sanctions targeting companies and individuals involved in settlement expansion.

According to KAN, Israel gave the consulate 30 days to shut down, after which British diplomats stationed there will lose their accreditation.

Earlier Tuesday, Miliband announced in the House of Commons a ban on imports from illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied West Bank, sanctions on companies and individuals facilitating settlement expansion, and additional sanctions on extremist Israeli occupiers accused of supporting or inciting violence against Palestinians.

He also said the UK would reject new arms export licenses for items that materially contribute to the occupation while maintaining the suspension of 30 existing licenses.

Miliband said the British government agrees that there is “ethnic cleansing of Palestinians” in the occupied West Bank perpetrated by Israeli “settler terrorists.”

Netanyahu driving Israel toward international isolation

The Israeli opposition has repeatedly accused Netanyahu of driving the country toward international isolation through his government’s policies and the genocide in Gaza. Netanyahu himself acknowledged about a year ago that Israel is entering a form of isolation.

Since taking office in late 2022, Netanyahu’s government has approved 104 new illegal settlements, while 160 agricultural outposts have been established in the occupied West Bank, according to Palestinian figures.

During the first half of 2026, Israeli occupiers carried out 3,488 attacks in the occupied West Bank, killing 17 Palestinians and fully or partially displacing 26 Bedouin and pastoral communities, according to the Palestinian Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission. The commission also documented the establishment of 42 new illegal outposts.

Around 750,000 Israeli occupiers live in 194 illegal settlements and 400 illegal outposts across the occupied West Bank, including occupied East Jerusalem, according to Palestinian figures.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today met with applicants for Israel infrastructure jobs protesting at the Polduwa junction, warning that the country’s “job mafia” has shattered the hopes of thousands seeking overseas employment.

Premadasa said the government’s policy on foreign employment is weak and that the program to provide jobs in Israel has been ineffective. 

He recalled previously standing on behalf of more than 3,500 construction sector applicants, but noted that in the infrastructure sector no jobs have been given for two years despite applicants submitting police reports and passing eligibility tests.

Addressing the protest organized by the Israel Infrastructure Lottery Applicants’ Collective, Premadasa said 560 applicants are still waiting for jobs, while another 1,200 are in the lottery system. He pointed out that government‑run programs move slowly, while private sector schemes operate quickly, creating inequality.

He further highlighted the cost disparity: applicants going through government channels spend about Rs.1 million, while those routed through private agencies must pay Rs.3.5 million. He alleged that exploitation and cheating occur under this system, pledging to raise the issue in Parliament.

Premadasa urged the government, which promised systemic change, to abolish exploitative mechanisms and implement a fair program allowing applicants to go to Israel for Rs.1 million. He also called for an end to deceitful politics and demanded stronger safeguards against corruption.

Applications open today for Sri Lankan workers seeking employment in Israel’s restaurant and renovation sectors, the Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) announced.

The Bureau said its official web portal www.slbfe.lk will allow qualified applicants to register online. 

For the restaurant sector, the portal opens at 12.00 noon today to register 4,000 applicants. Eligible candidates are men aged 25–40, with at least one year’s experience in a restaurant kitchen, eight years of schooling, and good English proficiency. 

Applicants must also be physically and mentally fit, and only those who have not previously worked in Israel, nor have immediate family members employed there, can apply.

For the renovation sector, registration will open tomorrow at 2.00 pm, with 12,000 slots available across four fields: plastering and gypsum board work, electrical box installation and block wall construction, carpentry, and ceramic tiling. 

Each category will take 3,000 applicants. Eligible candidates are men aged 25–45, with ten years of schooling and basic English knowledge, subject to the same restrictions on prior employment in Israel.

The Bureau noted that those who previously failed the final test for construction jobs cannot reapply, though applicants from other Israeli job categories may apply for these four fields. 

Selection will be conducted by qualified Israeli representatives, who will test applicants’ professional skills.

Sri Lanka has set in motion arrangements to send 10,000 workers for employment in Israel during 2026, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Employment Vijitha Herath announced.

He made the statement while granting travel permits to 164 workers scheduled to depart for jobs in Israel’s construction and infrastructure sector, stressing that the initiative is being carried out under a systematic and transparent procedure.

So far, 2,500 Sri Lankans have already been deployed to Israel this year, while job opportunities are prepared for another 6,500 workers. 

In addition, a further 1,000 positions are expected to open in a new sector, helping meet the overall target of 10,000, the minister said.

United States Vice President JD Vance has accused some members of Israel’s government of trying to influence US public opinion ⁠to oppose a deal to end the war with Iran.

In remarks made during an interview with US podcaster Joe Rogan that aired on Wednesday, Vance offered unusually pointed criticism of one of Washington’s closest allies.

Vance defended a deal the US reached last month to end the war with Iran, adding, “I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that there have been people within the Israeli government who are ‌trying to, like, actually shift us away from that policy because they want to continue the military campaign.”

Vance, whom many view as a potential future presidential candidate, has previously criticised Israel in what has become a widening public rift between the two countries.

“There’s a literal foreign influence campaign being funded to tank the very deal that I was pursuing,” Vance told Rogan, citing a report published by Time Magazine on Monday, which said a former Trump campaign manager was hired on behalf of Israel to run a digital campaign to influence US views of Israel and the Iran war.

“You have seen this very discreet, extremely well-funded campaign to try to derail the negotiation and try to derail the deal,” said Vance.

“There are some people within their system that we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that are manipulating and trying to change American public opinion to keep the war going on indefinitely,” he added.

Al Jazeera’s Patty Culhane, reporting from Washington, DC, said the Israeli-linked influence campaign Vance referenced is likely “meant to influence Trump’s MAGA [Make America Great Again] base”, which is increasingly divided over US policy towards Israel.

“That explains why Vance went on the Joe Rogan podcast,” said Culhane. “[Rogan is] one of the most popular podcasters in the country and is very much a key voice in influencing the young men that make up the MAGA base.” 

Influence campaigns ‘affect political judgement’

The US vice president also claimed an Israeli-linked influence campaign had targeted him personally over his diplomatic outreach to Iran.

“People are attacking me viciously for quite literally trying to accomplish the negotiation objective that the president set for the country,” he said.

Vance acknowledged that both allies and adversaries alike seek to influence US policy, and said, “It doesn’t bother me that Israel tries to do this.”

However, he said, “What does bother me is when those operations, those influence campaigns, actually affect ⁠American political judgement.”

Vance defended the US-Iran interim peace agreement reached last month, which was intended to end the war, but has faced significant opposition in Israel.

The agreement appears to have largely unravelled over escalating attacks by the US and Iran during the last week.

Asked if he ‌thought that the US would have engaged in the most recent war with Iran were it not for Israeli influence, Vance said, “Yes, yes I do.”

“I think the president, separate from any influence from Israel, ‌believes very strongly – and again, I agree with this – that Iran should not have a nuclear weapon,” Vance said.

Vance has previously slammed Israeli critics of the Iran deal, saying in June that US President Donald Trump is Israel’s only ⁠ally, in a sharp rebuke that referenced the billions in US ⁠military aid to Israel.

‘Quite shocking’

Former Israeli diplomat Alon Pinkas said Vance’s latest remarks were “unprecedented” and show that the US and Israel “are not on the same page” right now.

“No sitting US vice president has ever accused Israel of openly running a campaign to undermine American policy,” Pinkas, now a columnist at The New Republic, told Al Jazeera.

“There have been disagreements in the past, there has been friction. But for a sitting vice president to come out so vociferously, clearly, and crudely against an Israeli influence campaign against the US is truly unprecedented,” Pinkas said. “It is quite shocking.”

Al Jazeera’s Culhane also said Vance’s remarks were “unheard of”.

Separately, Vance weighed in on the controversy surrounding the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, saying Epstein had unspecified high-level connections to both US and Israeli intelligence agencies.

US President Donald Trump has said a deal between Israel and Iran is close, claiming both sides could stop attacks within days.

Speaking to reporters late Monday, Trump said the United States was in the “final throes” of what he described as a “very, very good deal”, adding that the Strait of Hormuz could reopen within two to three days once an agreement is signed.

He also suggested Israel and Iran may refrain from further attacks for at least a week, following their most serious escalation since a ceasefire in April.

Trump said continued US pressure, including a naval blockade, was pushing Iran towards an agreement, claiming military strikes alone would not achieve the same outcome.

In comments to Axios, he also said he had warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the continuation of the conflict, telling him he could soon be “on your own”.

On his Truth Social platform, Trump urged both sides to stop “shooting” and said final negotiations were under way, warning that progress could be derailed by “ignorance or stupidity”.

The remarks came after renewed violence on Sunday, triggered by Israeli strikes on Beirut. Iran responded with missile attacks on northern Israel, while Israel later struck Iranian air defence systems and a petrochemical facility. Iran also hit a facility in Haifa and targeted Israeli airbases. No deaths have been reported. (Newswire)

Iran said it has suspended military operations against Israel but warned it would resume them if strikes continue, including in southern Lebanon, where Israel is conducting ongoing operations.

Lebanon and Israel said on Wednesday (Jun 3) that they had agreed to the implementation of a ceasefire following negotiations in Washington aimed at ending the conflict that flared up alongside the war in Iran.

The ceasefire is contingent on a complete cessation of fire from the Iran-aligned Hezbollah militia and the evacuation of all of its operatives from the South Litani Sector, according to a joint statement released with the United States.

“The two sides agreed with the guidance of the United States to swiftly advance the creation of pilot zones in which the Lebanese Armed Forces will take exclusive control of the territory to the exclusion of all non-state actors,” they said.

Israel and Lebanon had previously agreed to a cessation of hostilities in April that was then extended in May, but violence has continued.

Israeli drone strikes killed at least six people in southern Lebanon and targeted a car south of Beirut ​on Wednesday, Lebanese security sources said. Israel said it intercepted a hostile aircraft likely fired by Hezbollah.

A US-mediated agreement announced on Monday had led Israel to step back from attacking the Hezbollah-controlled southern suburbs of Beirut, and the Iran-backed group to halt cross-border strikes.

Israel invaded Lebanon in March in pursuit of Hezbollah which fired across the border in support of Tehran.

Iran has said it will not agree to a deal to end the conflict launched by the United States and Israel in late February unless the ceasefire also extends to Lebanon.

Lebanon and Israel on Wednesday agreed to further direct negotiations to build confidence and resolve other outstanding issues.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday that he has directed Israel’s military to take over 70% of Gaza’s territory.

During an interview at a conference in the occupied West Bank, Netanyahu said that Israel is “tightening” its grip on Hamas. “We are now in 60% of the territory of the Gaza Strip. We were at 50%. We moved to 60%,” he said. “My directive is to move to — take it step by step — first of all 70. Let’s start with that.” As Netanyahu spoke, the audience called for him to take over all of Gaza’s territory.

In late April, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) issued maps to international aid groups that showed the military already controlling approximately 64% of Gaza. 

The seizure of more of Gaza would force approximately 2 million Palestinians into a shrinking fraction of the coastal enclave’s shattered territory.

Under a October 2025 ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, Israeli forces withdrew to a demarcation line known as the “yellow line” that left them in roughly 53% of Gaza.

On Tuesday, Hamas accused Israel of moving the line, saying this “constitutes an explicit and ongoing undermining of the ceasefire agreement, a serious violation of its provisions, and an exposed attempt to impose new facts on the ground by force, with the aim of entrenching military control over the Strip and undermining any real chance of stabilizing the situation or making de-escalation efforts succeed.”

Both Israel and Hamas are supposed to be abiding by the terms of the US-brokered ceasefire agreement, which went into effect in October. But progress on the plan, which was promoted by President Donald Trump, has stalled, risking a scenario in which Gaza’s territory becomes permanently divided.

Nickolay Mladenov, a Bulgarian diplomat who serves as the official in charge of implementing the agreement, warned earlier this month that without progress, the yellow line could turn “into a fence or wall, a permanent separation of Gaza.”

Mladenov acknowledged a reality on the ground in Gaza in which “civilians are still being killed” and “families live in fear” of Israeli airstrikes.

Israel has repeatedly carried out strikes in Gaza since the ceasefire, accusing Hamas of violating it by rearming and rebuilding its forces. Those strikes have killed more than 850 people in Gaza since the ceasefire began, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Public Health. Earlier this month, Israel assassinated Izz al-Din al-Haddad, the leader of Hamas’ military wing. Eleven days later, Israel assassinated his successor in a subsequent strike.

Hamas has also refused to disarm or decommission its weaponry, Mladenov said, a key element of the ceasefire plan upon which much of the future of Gaza rests. The Government of Sri Lanka has expressed deep concern and profound distress over footage posted by Israeli Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir, which appears to depict the dehumanizing treatment of detainees of  “Global Sumud Flotilla’’. 

Issuing a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sri Lanka said it is already engaging with the Israeli Foreign Ministry through diplomatic channels to secure immediate consular access to the affected Sri Lankan national including guarantees for her safety, wellbeing, and dignity and swift and safe repatriation to Sri Lanka.  

The Government of Sri Lanka remains fully committed to ensuring the protection of its citizens abroad, the ministry added. 

Sameera Mehboobdeen had departed Sri Lanka in April to join the Global Sumud Flotilla, an international mission involving activists from nearly 100 countries aimed at breaking the blockade of Gaza.

More than 50 vessels set sail from Marmaris, Turkey, recently in what organizers described as the final leg of the journey to Gaza’s shores.

The Israeli Navy began intercepting the flotilla on Monday, weeks after a previous attempt was thwarted and two activists were detained.

Video showing Israel’s far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir taunting detained Gaza flotilla activists has sparked searing international condemnation, as well as a rare public reprimand from Israel’s prime minister.

Two videos released by Ben Gvir’s office show activists who were aboard a flotilla aiming to deliver aid to Gaza being arrested by police, with some seen held in the stress position in a make-shift holding space at the port of Ashdod on Wednesday.

In one video a woman is seen shouting in English: “Free Palestine!” before being pushed to the ground, as officers are heard telling her, “quiet, quiet”.

“Good job,” Ben Gvir says, adding, “Welcome to Israel. We are the landlords here.”

Another video shows dozens of people with their hands fastened behind their backs as they kneel with their heads to the ground.

“They came with a lot of pride, like great heroes. Look at them now. Look, see how they look now. Not heroes and nothing at all. Terror supporters,” Ben Gvir says with the Israeli flag in hand, pointing to those detained.

The first boats in the flotilla departed from Barcelona last month, with campaigners calling their action a “civilian intervention at a moment of escalating violence and humanitarian crisis.”

As the boats made their way toward Gaza, Israeli forces launched a series of interceptions.

Flotilla spokesperson David Heap told CNN on Wednesday that approximately 60 of its boats had been intercepted, and more than 400 activists detained.

Lawyers from Israeli human rights organization Adalah were able to see some of the detainees at the port of Ashdod before they were transferred to Ketziot prison in southern Israel’s Negev desert.

International condemnation of the videos of the detainees was swift coming.

Italy’s Prime Minister Georgia Meloni, seen by Israel as one of the EU’s more sympathetic leaders, was among the first, describing the incident as an “unacceptable” violation of the activists’ human dignity.

The prime minister of Spain, a sharp critic of Israel’s offensive in Gaza, said the images showed Ben Gvir “humiliating the people on the international flotilla,” adding, “We will not tolerate anyone mistreating our citizens.” The Spanish leader said he would push the European Union to sanction Ben Gvir, emulating Spain’s ban on the minister’s entry into the country.

UK Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper said she was “truly appalled” and added the British government was in touch with the families of the British nationals involved. The UK has also demanded an explanation from Israeli authorities, Cooper said.

Canada, Portugal and Italy announced they would summon the Israeli representatives in their respective countries over the incident, while France, Ireland and Turkey also added to the mounting condemnation.

In a clear sign that Ben Gvir, a politician known for his provocative stunts, had gone too far for his government colleagues, Israel’s Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, followed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, publicly rebuked him.

Saar accused the National Security Minister of staging a “disgraceful display,” in which he had “knowingly caused harm” to the state of Israel.

Netanyahu, while clear in his defense of the activists’ detention, said Ben Gvir’s actions were “not in line with Israel’s values and norms,” adding, “I have instructed the relevant authorities to deport the provocateurs as soon as possible.”

The US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee also called out Ben Gvir for his “despicable actions.”

“Flotilla was stupid stunt, but Ben Gvir betrayed dignity of his nation,” the ambassador said on X. (CNN)

The Israeli Navy on Monday began to intercept the activist mission sailing to the Gaza Strip to challenge Israel’s naval blockade, just weeks after a previous flotilla was thwarted and two of its activists were detained.

More than 50 vessels departed from the port in Marmaris, Turkey, last week in what the organizers of the Global Sumud Flotilla described as the final leg of their journey to Gaza’s shores.

It is reported that Sri Lankan participant Sameera Mahboobdeen is part of the fleet, and her fate is unknown. 

Naval commandos boarded the first of Global Sumud Flotilla’s vessels at sea off the coast of Cyprus, a livestream showed on Monday, which then abruptly ended.

By noon, six vessels had been intercepted.

“Military vessels are currently intercepting our fleet and (Israeli) forces are boarding the first of our boats in broad daylight,” the Global Sumud Flotilla said on X.

“We demand safe passage for our legal, non-violent humanitarian mission.”

Turkey condemned Israel’s interception of the flotilla, stating it “constitutes a new act of piracy.”

“Israel must immediately cease its intervention and unconditionally release the detained flotilla participants,” the Turkish Foreign Ministry statement said, adding that “the process is being closely monitored in cooperation with other countries.”

Meanwhile, Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that his country’s embassies in Israel, Turkey, and Cyprus have asked Israel to ensure the safety of the Italian citizens on the flotilla.

Earlier, Israel warned the “participants in this provocation to change course and turn back immediately.”

“Once again, a provocation for the sake of provocation: another so-called ‘humanitarian aid flotilla’ with no humanitarian aid,” the Foreign Ministry posted on X. The Israeli military declined to comment on the ongoing operation.

Israel has previously dismissed the flotillas as publicity stunts, after their organizers rejected calls to transfer the small amount of symbolic aid they had been carrying with them to Israel or international organizations to be taken into the Strip and distributed via official channels.

The Global Sumud Flotilla will be the third initiative in a year aiming at breaking an Israeli blockade on Hamas-ruled Gaza, which has suffered severe shortages of food, water, medicine, and fuel since the Palestinian terror group invaded Israel in October 2023, sparking two years of war in the coastal enclave.

The flotilla is being led by Turkish aid organization IHH, which is designated in Israel as a terror organization and which organized the 2010 Mavi Marmara flotilla to Gaza.

Israeli forces intercepted the second flotilla in international waters off Greece on April 30 and sent most of the 175 activists to Europe, but arrested two of them, who were held for 10 days before being deported. 

Organizers said the latest efforts involve a regrouped fleet following Israel’s interception, joined by additional boats. Nearly 500 activists from 45 countries are said to be taking part.

Civil society groups, political representatives and activists in Sri Lanka on Wednesday (13) called for urgent public and diplomatic support to ensure the safety of Sri Lankan participant Sameera Mahboobdeen and other members of a humanitarian mission set to sail towards Gaza from Turkey on Thursday (14).

The appeal was made by the Free Palestine Movement – Sri Lanka (FPM), which said the Global Sumud Flotilla, expected to include more than 50 vessels, aims to deliver medical supplies and humanitarian assistance to Gaza amid ongoing conflict and restrictions on the territory.

Speaking at a press conference in Colombo, FPM representatives urged the government and the public to remain engaged on the safety of Sri Lankan participants, saying the mission involves significant risks as it attempts to reach Gaza by sea.

They also referred to past flotilla incidents in which vessels were intercepted in international waters, highlighting concerns over the security of those taking part.

Several speakers, including political representatives and activists, called on authorities to ensure support for Mahboobdeen in the event of any interception and to facilitate her safe return.

Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Mujibur Rahman and other participants stressed the importance of public awareness and government involvement in safeguarding Sri Lankan nationals involved in the mission.

The group also criticised aspects of Sri Lanka’s foreign engagement related to Israel, while reiterating their broader call for attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza.

The United Arab Emirates has denied reports claiming that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or any Israeli military delegation visited the country.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said relations with Israel are conducted transparently under the Abraham Accords framework and that allegations of unannounced visits or undisclosed arrangements are unfounded.
