Former Chairman of the Land Reclamation and Development Corporation, Harshan de Silva, who was arrested by the Bribery Commission, has been granted bail by the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s Court today. 

Harshan de Silva was arrested by the Bribery Commission this afternoon over investigations into the alleged misappropriation of Rs. 27.6 million in state funds. 

He is accused of having caused a loss to the government by utilizing state funds for an unauthorised function for a development project of the Land Reclamation and Development Corporation. (Newswire)
