The Sri Lanka Red Cross Society has decided to initiate legal action against a group of persons who have allegedly defamed the organization after losing their positions in the association.

According to reports, legal action is to be initiated against the group for having made statements to the media deemed detrimental to the reputation of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society.

The decision to initiate legal action has been taken at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Sri Lanka Red Cross Society held on Monday (Aug. 07). (NewsWire)
