Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla welcomed a Sri Lankan Parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the Oversight Committee on Infrastructure and Strategic Issues, MP S.M. Marikkar, at the Parliament of India.

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa met Indian Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla in New Delhi on Tuesday (04) with the aim of further strengthening parliamentary cooperation. 

MP Premadasa, currently on an official visit to India, met Om Birla for highly valuable discussions focused on strengthening parliamentary cooperation and sharing best practices in parliamentary procedures.

The two leaders exchanged numerous ideas regarding enhancing institutional professionalism, strengthening legislative research, and promoting youth participation in parliament.
