Underworld figure Ruwan Jayasekara alias ‘Midigama Ruwan’ who is involved in the international drug network has been arrested and brought to Sri Lanka from Dubai, UAE.

According to the Police, ‘Midigama Ruwan’ was brought to Sri Lanka by a team from the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) today.

‘Midigama Ruwan’ was arrested by the Dubai Police in March this year based on an Interpol warrant. 

It is reported that he is a relative of notorious drug dealer Nadun Chinthaka alias ‘Harak Kata’ and had been involved in planning Harak Kata’s escape from the CID headquarters in Colombo, which was foiled. (Newswire)
