ikmanJOBS is rolling out one of its biggest product upgrades to date, introducing 10 new and enhanced features designed to make recruitment simpler for employers and improve the job-search experience for candidates across Sri Lanka.

The updates strengthen the platform across the recruitment journey, from attracting better-quality applications and screening candidates to managing interviews and actively sourcing talent.

Employers can now require applicants to submit a CV when applying for a vacancy, helping recruiters receive more complete candidate information from the outset. Employers can also add up to seven custom screening questions to a job advertisement, allowing them to capture important information relevant to the role before beginning the shortlisting process.

The employer experience has also been strengthened through an enhanced Application Tracking System (ATS). Rather than managing applications separately, recruiters can organise and track candidates as they progress through different stages of the recruitment process, including screening and interviews.

Communication with applicants has also been improved. New SMS communication capabilities allow employers to send important interview-related updates directly to candidates, supporting faster and more structured coordination during the hiring process.

Beyond applications received through individual job advertisements, ikmanJOBS is strengthening its candidate database to give employers access to more relevant and active candidate profiles. This enables recruiters to take a more proactive approach to hiring by searching for suitable candidates rather than depending only on incoming applications.

Together, these features are designed to address several practical challenges employers face when recruiting online — receiving incomplete applications, manually screening large numbers of candidates, keeping track of applicants across different stages and identifying relevant candidates for open positions.

The upgrade also extends to Overseas Jobs, bringing overseas vacancies further into the wider ikmanJOBS experience. The overseas job-posting flow now allows employers to specify the vacancy country, include their SLBFE licence number, attach a job-description image, require CV submissions and use screening questions. Overseas recruitment clients can also access the candidate profile database to search for potential applicants. With the introduction of an exciting new feature in ikman JOBS, allows job applicants to create their own profile under ikman JOBS. Applicants can now see their profile completion percentage, which encourages them to fill out their information and upload an updated CV. This enhancement aims to help applicants showcase their qualifications better and increase their chances of getting recruited quickly.
