Australian inclusive beauty brand brings its signature dewy, skin-first aesthetic to one of AFW’s most anticipated runway moments

Beauty by Rosh, the Australian owned inclusive cosmetics brand founded by Rosh Kumarasinghe, proudly served as the Official Makeup Sponsor for Karla Špetić’s Resort 2027 collection, COMPOSE, presented at Australian Fashion Week 2026, with a front row guest list filled with top editors, industry VIPs, and Australian stars and celebrities.

The show marks the first of two official runway sponsorships for Beauty by Rosh at AFW 2026; with the brand’s second show partnership set to take place this Friday, further cementing its growing presence on the Australian fashion week circuit.

Beauty by Rosh co-partnering with Revlon Professionals as Hair Partner and alongside other partners such as Steve Madden and Weleda for Karla’s AFW runway show.

THE COLLECTION

Karla Špetić’s COMPOSE collection explored the idea of garments as architectural compositions – a meditation on layering, softness, structure and balance.

THE BEAUTY LOOK

In harmony with the collection’s quiet, considered aesthetic, the beauty look directed by Susan Lillian was soft, dewy and skin-first, allowing the garments to breathe and the models’ natural beauty to take centre stage.

The look was built around an effortless, barely-there base using Beauty by Rosh’s Flawless Finish Foundation, chosen for its buildable, skin-like coverage that enhances rather than masks. Lashes were lengthened and defined using the Lash Guru Mascara, while brows were left deliberately undone; natural, feathered and free. A wash of Lilly R Velvet Matte Lip completed each look, adding a touch of quiet colour that sat in perfect balance with the garments.

ROSH AT AFW

Founder Rosh Kumarasinghe was present both backstage and front row for the show, experiencing the collection come to life from every angle, from the energy of the backstage environment to the full runway presentation. Rosh herself made a statement by wearing a saree from a Sri Lankan designer, as she sat in the front row representing South Asian culture and the Sri Lankan heritage she is so proud of. Rosh represents a South Asian presence that is still underrepresented in the Australian fashion industry. This marked the first time a Sri Lankan founder has sponsored a show through their brand at AFW.

Beauty by Rosh has set a new benchmark in South Asia’s beauty industry, becoming the first South Asian beauty brand to partner with designers on the main schedule of London Fashion Week (LFW). Australia-based, Sri Lankan-born entrepreneur Rosh Kumarasinghe partnered with four designers this season, placing her brand alongside some of the world’s most recognized beauty houses. This achievement marks a significant milestone for both the brand and South Asian representation in global fashion.

The brand also became the first Australian makeup brand to sponsor designers on the main schedule. Founded by Rosh after migrating to Australia, Beauty by Rosh has grown independently without financial backing, with Rosh continuing to remain hands-on in marketing, branding, customer support, and every aspect of the business.

During her debut at LFW, Beauty by Rosh partnered with designers Bora Aksu, Pippa Todorson, Aadnevik, and Dahlia Razzook, providing not only products but also direct support for makeup and skincare backstage. These collaborations involved full sponsorship agreements, including monetary contributions, demonstrating the brand’s professionalism and commitment to excellence.

Securing sponsorships at London Fashion Week is notoriously challenging. Main schedule designers, curated by the British Fashion Council, have full creative control over their shows, including venue selection, model casting, and backstage teams. For an independent, founder-owned brand to break into this elite circle, alongside major global beauty houses such as Charlotte Tilbury, MAC Cosmetics, Bobbi Brown, and Byredo, is a remarkable achievement.

For Rosh, the experience was both a professional and personal milestone. “Being part of London Fashion Week, working with incredible designers, and seeing the shows from the front row was unforgettable,” she said. “It was a steep learning curve and an incredible opportunity to experience how a major fashion week operates.”

Rosh’s achievement highlights the growing diversity and international reach of the beauty industry. From her upbringing in Sri Lanka to building a pioneering, independent brand in Australia, Rosh embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and determination that LFW celebrates. Her participation signals the rising influence of emerging talent from South Asia and Australia on the global stage.

With this historic milestone, Beauty by Rosh not only strengthens its international profile but also inspires other independent, founder-led brands to aim high; proving that ambition, vision, and hands-on dedication can break barriers at the very top of the fashion and beauty world.
