The first crossover of 2024 has been reported, with Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) MP Shan Wijayalal de Silva joining the opposition, Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB).

MP Shan Wijayalal de Silva met SJB and opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa confirming his crossover. 

The MP reportedly received his SJB party membership and letter of appointment from MP Sajith Premadasa this morning (Jan 01).

MP Shan Wijayalal de Silva who is a senior member of the SLFP was elected as a Member of Parliament during the last general election representing the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP). (NewsWire)
