The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for strong winds in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces and the Matale, Hambantota, and Trincomalee districts.

Per the advisory, effective until 11.00 am tomorrow (16), strong winds of about 40-50 kmph can be expected at times in the said areas due to the active south-west monsoonal condition.

The Department of Meteorology has issued an advisory for strong winds in the Western slopes of the central hills of the Northern, North-central and North-western provinces and the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.

According to the department, the weather advisory is effective until 12.30 pm tomorrow (29 May).
