The National Election Commission has issued a Gazette notification on the symbols that have been allocated for political parties contesting the 2024 Parliamentary Election.

The Gazette also consists of symbols that are yet to be allocated for political parties. 

Dated 28 September 2024, the Gazette is issued under the Parliamentary Elections Act, No. 01 of 1981.

The National Election Commission has issued the list containing the symbols allocated for the independent candidates contesting the 2024 Presidential Election. 

Among the 39 candidates cleared to contest the elections, 17 are independent candidates. 

According to the Election Commission, new symbols have been allocated for the independent candidates. 

However, those who are contesting under their political parties will contest under their party symbols. 

The 2024 Presidential Election will be conducted from 07.00 am to 04.00 pm on September 21. (Newswire)
