The Department for Registration of Persons has announced that all public services, including one‑day services at its head office and provincial offices, will be suspended on Friday, April 17, 2026.

According to the Department, the temporary suspension is due to ongoing efforts to restore a breakdown in its computer system. 

Officials state that restoration work is already underway, but services will remain unavailable for the day to ensure system stability.

Authorities urged citizens to plan accordingly and noted that services are expected to resume once the technical issues are resolved. (Newswire)
