President Ranil Wickremesinghe has jovially hinted at how the business community supported tax cuts imposed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa in 2020.

President Wickremesinghe attended the Ceylon Chamber’s Economic Summit as a Chief Guest yesterday (Nov 29).

Speaking during the event, President Wickremesinghe pointed out that the business community welcomed former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s tax cuts in 2020. 

“Though former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa is getting blamed for reducing taxes, all you guys agreed to it,” the President said.
