The body of an individual with gunshot wounds has been discovered on Uswetakeiyawa beach in Ja-Ela.

The Police said it is suspected that the deceased is a resident of Kadawatha, believed to be between the age of 30-35 years. 

The Police further said that the victim had sustained gunshot injuries to the chest. 

The Wattala Police is conducting investigations into the incident. (Newswire)
