Cabinet of Ministers has approved a contract to procure five shipments of 92-octane petrol from Vitol Asia Pte. Ltd. of Singapore, following a competitive bidding process conducted by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CPC).

The procurement covers the delivery of approximately 300,000 + /-5% petrol barrels per shipment over a six-month period from April 15 to October 14, 2025. Seven registered suppliers submitted bids for the contract.

Based on the recommendations of the Standing Procurement Committee and the Special Standing Procurement Committee appointed by the Cabinet, Vitol Asia was selected as the lowest substantially responsive bidder. (Newswire)
