Former Minister S. Viyalendiran, who was arrested and remanded over corruption allegations, has been released on bail by the Colombo Magistrate’s Court.  

Viyalendiran was arrested on 26 March 2025 in connection with aiding and abetting an incident of bribery.

He was arrested after recording a statement with the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC), after which he was remanded. (Newswire)

Former Minister S. Viyalendiran, who was arrested over corruption allegations, has been further remanded until 08 April 2025. 

Viyalendiran was arrested in connection with aiding and abetting an incident of bribery.
