A dead body was found near the Independence Square, Colombo this morning.
Police suspects the person might have committed suicide by shooting himself.
“We have not ruled out any other causes. We are currently awaiting the post mortem report.” Police spokesman said.
He said a letter and a pistol was found near the body.
The person has been identified as a 64 year old living at Police Park area in Bambalapitiya.
Further investigation underway.
